Andorra made public the winning design for the 1 Euro Cent, 2 Euro Cent, 5 Euro Cent, 10 Euro Cent, 20 Euro Cent, 50 Euro Cent, 1 Euro and 2 Euro coins. The coins will be released into circulation starting 1st January 2014.
The agreement between the European Union and Andorra was that Andorra mint can put into circulation maximum 2.5 million Euro each year.
Andorra – Euro coins
The Central Bank of Malta will issue on June 24th a new euro coin set dated 2013. The set contains the eight Maltese euro coins as well as a €2 coin, commemorating the 1921 Constitution that granted self-government to Malta.
All coins are struck at the Royal Dutch Mint. The euro coins are designed by Noel Galea Bason while the €2 coin is designed by Ganni Bonnici.
The set will also includes a replica coin from the Byzantine period and comes packed in a distinctive presentation box. The mintage is limited to 35.000 sets.
The sets may be purchased from the Malta Coins Distribution Centre of the Central Bank of Malta or from the bank’s website.
The Bank of Italy issued today a new 2 Euro commemorative coin celebrating the 200th birth anniversary of Giuseppe Verdi.
Giuseppe Verdi was an Italian Romantic composer primarily known for his operas like ‘La Traviata’, ‘Nabucco’, ‘Falstaff’.
